The Yahoo Desktop Search forum has gathered around 250 messages since the program was launched.

There's a lot of noise there (especially asking, or in some cases demanding support for Mac, Linux, Eudora, and Thunderbird and Netscape mail), but just a few of the message contain useful information:

• An explanation of why the picture search does not find jpeg files on some computers, and how to fix it
• How to index network drives, which the help file tells you the program does, but the UI does not allow you to set up. (It looks like this was one of the features of x1 that they disabled, so that x1 can still justify charging for their "more advanced" version).
